What :  Instagram was inspired by Flickr and it allows you to share your pictures with the world and your followers.

When :  It was created in October 2010

Who :  Instagram was created by  Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger. Systrom had worked for Odeo (who created twitter) and Google before starting Instagram.

Pros and Cons

Pros :

• ·         You can easily share pictures.
• ·         You can like pictures
• ·         It can be used from a phone or ipod and it will filter the pictures to make them look better.
• ·         You can tag people in the picture and associate a picture with a location.

Cons :

• It is currently unavailable for Blackberry and Windows Phone.
• All the pictures on your account will be either public or private. Private meaning that only your followers can see them.
• You can't send private messages
